What you need to know
When: Saturday 23rd of August (bank holiday weekend) - The updated ceremony now starts at 12:30pm so please arrive in good time to be seated.
Where: The Ceremony Room at Cockington Court - Cockington Lane, Torquay TQ2 6XA - Access to the Ceremony Room is from the Rose Garden at the rear of the building across the wooden bridge. Cockington Court is wheelchair / pushchair accessible.
What to wear: You do you. "English Summer Garden Party" is our theme and we want this to be a fun, relaxed day. We're keeping our fingers crossed for sun but the party will go ahead in the garden come rain or shine so please bear this in mind on the day (we will have a small "marquee" and other shelter in case of rain).
The bride and groom will be properly dressed for the occasion, and perhaps think summer smart casual rather than jeans and a t-shirt, but no one is being turned away because of what you are wearing! You're welcome to "slip into something more comfortable" at our house after the ceremony - if it's really hot, having shorts to change into might be an idea.
Ladies, no hat needed (unless it's a sun hat) and please leave the heels at home - wedges or flats mix much better with grass and gravel.

Transport: We kindly ask that you travel by taxi as parking is generally very limited on Nut Bush Lane (and our drive will be full of Pizza Truck). If you drive to Cockington please bring change for the car park closest to the Ceremony room. If you do decide to drive to our house for the party, you will most likely need to park in a nearby street.
FAQs
Timings - You should have received a whatsapp message informing you that all the times have shifted by an hour. The original ceremony time has shifted from 11:30 and is now 12:30. The Garden party was scheduled to start between 13:00 and 13:30, it will now start between 14:00 and 14:30.
Food and drink - All food and drink for the afternoon is provided - did someone say free bar ?! We'll have plenty of beer, cider, red, white and bubbly wine, and soft drinks back at Athluain, together with nibbles and pizza.
Weather - The Garden Party will be outdoors whatever the weather so please bear that in mind. If it's chilly remember an extra layer but if it's sunny you might need sunglasses, sun cream and a hat!
Dietary requirements - Please contact Faith if you have any special requirements as soon as possible so we can make arrangements.
Confetti - Home made rose petal confetti will be provided by the Roses. If you choose to bring your own please ensure it's biodegradable. Cockington don't allow confetti inside the Registry Office or in the Rose Garden - we will have a confetti moment in the gardens after the ceremony.
Gifts - Since moving in together we've been flipping coins for whose toaster and dinner set to keep, we really do not need anything new. All we ask is to see your happy, smiling faces on our special day - please don't bring a gift.
